You like CodeIgniter or not but if you use it for web development this handy utility will save you some time. Initially developed for internal use so if you feel no customization/template’s option please bear with me
Keep in mind that you must have installed .NET Framework on local machine to execute these bits, unlikely if you don’t have it yet this link will help you to get there..
How to use:
It’s pretty simple after download open this app, click first button ‘Select Application Folder‘ and choose your ‘application‘ folder within your CodeIgniter folder e.g:
X:\Path\to\WebServer\htdocs\codeigniter\application
Ones you did this correctly it’ll show you other relevant paths, check model and view option as per your needs enter desired controller/file name click ‘Do It!‘ button that’s it requested file with initial code has been generated.
Feel free to comment/report bugs.
Having screenshot is good idea so here it comes:

hey! the tool is not so bad.. i mean it can be useful to write automatically some lines of code.. that’s it! it’s a good starting point, maybe you should extend it… for example adding the possibility to specify each directories where to put the controller, model view.. not always i wanna put in the root of views directory.. the possibility to change the name of each files and adding the skeleton methods that i wanna put inside each class. after that i think it could be a really good tool! what do you think?
I really appreciate your words and things you highlighted defiantly will turn this piece of code into useful utility, as soon as I got some free time I’ll look into this again for sure.
Yeah, i also have idea to built CI in GUI like this project. So, we can use the library, model, helper, just on click using mouse. Maybe like Visual Basic, Visual Foxpro etc. and some time we can call it Visual CI (visual CodeIgniter)
hahaha well said Dimas
